More information on FIU's QBIC program can be found here: www.qbic.fiu.edu
I have recently become involved with teaching a QBIC (Quantifying Biology in the Classroom) higher level undergraduate course. The QBIC program was designed by Florida International University (FIU) faculty to meet and exceed the mathematical and science requirements required to earn a BSc in Biological Sciences.

In other words, QBIC is a program for students interested in a more in-depth approach to the biological sciences. It provides an integrative four-year curriculum independent to general admission classes, and aims to emphasize the study of living systems while providing students the tools to critically evaluate biological concepts at a higher academic level.
